Breslin Builders receives notification that the Durango Commons Office Building 2 project is certified LEED Core & Shell v2.0 Silver...
While work has finished months ago on this core/shell office project, final project certification was just awarded from GBCI as part of USGBC's LEED Core & Shell v2.0 LEED program. Achieving a total of 28 points, the project has been awarded a LEED Silver rating.
This is a milestone for the project, as well as Breslin Builders, as this is the first LEED certified project that Breslin Builders has completed. Breslin Builders provided design services, construction services, and also served as the LEED Administrator for the project.
While not all projects will be LEED certified projects, it was a true test of how well the projects Breslin Builders designs and constructs match up with the LEED rating system. With a few minor adjustments to the design and a few adjustments on how items were purchased, generally the project was originally design to meet LEED requirements from the start.
With one LEED project under their belt, Breslin Builders is positioned now to complete future LEED projects with confidence and know how of the LEED system requirements.

The Tenant Design and Construction Guidelines outline the LEED items incorporated into the project and how this LEED Core & Shell project benefits the tenants and potential LEED Interiors certification.
