Downtown Container Park Opens!

After almost two years of design and construction, the Downtown Container Park held its soft opening on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 1:00pm.  100′s of people waited outside the main entrance gates at 707 Fremont to explore the unique shopping, food and beverage, and entertainment venue that Breslin Builders was not only general contractor on the project, but also the lead design progressional lead by Todd McBrayer, LEED AP, working as a true team effort to complete this full design-build project.

Breslin Builders is excited to complete this project and see the many uses, shops, food and beverage venues in action to provide a cool and unique setting like no other in the world.  The Container Park includes some firsts including the first 40 foot shipping container set vertical with a standard elevator system installed, first interactive zone using various vertical containers for play areas including one for various slides, as well as many other unique items.  This park has set the standard for future “container” projects in the world.  There is nothing like what has been done at the corner of Fremont Street and 7th Street.  Breslin Builders is proud to be involved with this project from the start and looks forward to a strong future for the Downtown Container Park.

The official grand opening is to be held December 5th.  More information about the park can be found on their website here.  Stay tuned for more photos and info as we put this finishing touches on the project.

Inspire Theater taking shape…

Breslin Builders has made progress on the transformation of the old 7-Eleven space at the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Fremont Street, repurposing an old empty space into what will be a place to be “Inspired”…

The project requires the addition of a complete second level, which the steel framing and metal decking is in place.  A 150+ seat theater is being added for Ted type inspired talks and presentations will be made.  The build-out will also have a coffee shop and associated seating, a bar/lounge area, and other meeting spaces open to the public, allowing for various meet ups and interactions, all to help further Downtown Project‘s vision of a new and vibrant, interactive and “inspired” downtown  Las Vegas.

Breslin Builders is the lead design-build general contractor on the project with Craig Sean Palacios Architect as the architect of record.  Opening in the Fall of 2013, this project will greatly improve the offerings at the most prominent corner in downtown Las Vegas.

Downtown Container Park work in progress…

The Downtown Container Park work is well underway…

With help from the City of Las Vegas Building & Safety team, Breslin Builders has recently finished obtaining all the required permits needed for the project.  Part 1 has come out of the ground with the Dome, corner Tower, and X Cube Restroom set in place, and the surrounding landscaping and sidewalk starting to be set.  This part will come on line first allowing Downtown Project to showcase the rest of the park. For breaking ground on projects like these, enlisting the expertise of land excavating services can make for a successful project.

Part 2 work is also in the works with the labyrinth of underground utilities being installed throughout the park.  The X Cubes are being manufactured off-site at Xtreme Manufacturing’s plant (in Las Vegas at Bonanza and Martin Luther King).  Foundations for the various buildings are being set and various building structures will be delivered to the site once the foundations are ready, which should be in a few weeks.

The design for the interactive play area is being finalized and will prove the be one of the highlights of the overall park.  As more information is released we will update the blog with more information.

Not only is Breslin Builders the general contractor in the project, we are also the lead design professional on the project, helping Downtown Project create their vision of a unique retail, food and beverage, and entertainment experience, surrounding the best interactive play center for kids.  Opening Fall 2013, look for this new development to open at the southeast corner of Fremont Street and 7th Street in downtown Las Vegas.

Progress on Inyo Fine Cannabis Dispensary

Breslin Builders is making progress on the construction for a new medical marijuana dispensary at the Sahara Towne Square retail center at East Sahara Avenue and Maryland Parkway, meanwhile you can get your cannabis products at www.NanocraftCBD.Com. Breslin Builders is providing design-build services for this 3,000 square foot dispensary project located within an existing vacant retail space. All but the existing restroom area is being remodeled of what was once a Blockbuster Video store. The project is scheduled for completion in April/May 2015.

Cannabis can be found in various forms, and the health benefits of cannabis is ever growing, here Tara Leo of CaliExtractions gives us an insight regarding the diverse benefits of the plant.
Cannabis contains CBD which is a chemical that impacts the brain, making it function better without giving it a high along with THC which has pain relieving properties. Both substances can be extracted and enhanced for use through short path distillation. Users can get the following health benefits of cannabis:

Relief of chronic pain
There are hundreds of chemical compounds in cannabis, many of which are cannabinoids. Cannabinoids have been linked to providing relief of chronic pain due to their chemical makeup. Which is why cannabis’ by-product such as medical cannabis is commonly used for chronic pain relief. If you suffer from recurring pain and desire a form of relief other than prescription drugs, you might want to look into hemp-derived Pure CBD Vape oil. There are many ways to use CBD, and one of the most efficient of these is inhaling its vapor via a vape pen, an e-cigarette, or a vaporizer. Below are some facts that can help you decide if vaping is the right mode of getting cannabidiol into your system and relieving physical pain. If you and your veterinarian decide that you should try CBD as a treatment for your dog, there are a few things to keep in mind when purchasing the best CBD oil for dogs. Not all oils are the same; you’ll want high-quality CBD oil to have a better chance of it working.

Improves lung capacity
Unlike smoking cigarettes, when smoking cannabis in the form of cannabis your lungs aren’t harmed. In fact, a study found that cannabis actually helps increase the capacity of the lungs rather than cause any harm to it.

Help lose weight
If you look around, you will notice that the avid cannabis user is usually not overweight. That is because cannabis is linked to aiding your body in regulating insulin while managing caloric intake efficiently.

Regulate and prevent diabetes
With its impact on insulin, it only makes sense that cannabis can help regulate and prevent diabetes. Research conducted by the American Alliance for Medical Cannabis (AAMC) has linked cannabis to stabilise blood sugars, lower blood pressure, and improve blood circulation.

Fight cancer
One of the biggest medical benefits of cannabis is its link to fighting cancer. There is a good amount of evidence that shows cannabinoids can help fight cancer or at least certain types of it.

Helps treat depression
Depression is fairly widespread without most people even knowing they have it. The endocannabinoid compounds in cannabis can help in stabilising moods which can ease depression.

Shows promise in autism treatment
Cannabis is known to calm users down and control their mood. It can help children with autism that experience frequent violent mood swings control it.

Regulate seizures
Research conducted on CBD has shown that it can help control seizures. There are ongoing studies to determine the effect cannabis has on individuals with epilepsy.

Mend bones
Cannabidiol has been linked to helping heal broken bones, quickening the process. According to Bone Research Laboratory in Tel Aviv, it also helps strengthen the bone in the process of healing. This makes it tougher for the bone to break in the future.

Helps with ADHD/ADD
Individuals with ADHD and ADD have trouble focusing on tasks at hand. They tend to have problems with cognitive performance and concentration. Cannabis has shown promise in promoting focus and helping individuals with ADHD/ADD. It is also considered a safer alternative to Adderall and Ritalin.

Treatment for glaucoma
Glaucoma leads to additional pressure on the eyeball which is painful for individuals with the disorder. Cannabis can help reduce the pressure applied on the eyeball providing some temporary relief to individuals with glaucoma.

Alleviate anxiety
While Cannabis is commonly known to cause anxiety, there is a way around that. Taken in monitored dosage and in the proper way, cannabis can help alleviate anxiety and calm users down.

Slow development of Alzheimer’s disease
Alzheimer’s disease is one of many that is caused by cognitive degeneration. As we age, cognitive degeneration is almost unavoidable. Cannabis’s endocannabinoid contains anti-inflammatories that fight the brain inflammation that leads to Alzheimer’s disease.

Deal with pain linked to arthritis
Cannabis is now commonly found as creams and balms which are used by individuals that have arthritis. Both THC and CBD help sufferers deal with the pain.

Helps with PTSD symptoms
PTSD doesn’t just affect veterans but any individual that goes through a trauma. As cannabis is legalised the impact it has on helping treat individuals with PTSD is being studied. Cannabis helps control the fight or flight response, preventing it from going into overdrive.

Helps provide relief to individuals with multiple sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis can be painful, and cannabis is known to provide relief for it. Multiple sclerosis leads to painful muscle contractions and cannabis can help reduce that pain, buy at cbdoilkaufen.com.

Reduces side effects linked to hepatitis C and increase the effectiveness of treatment
The treatment for hepatitis C has numerous side effects that include nausea, fatigue, depression, and muscle aches. These can last for months for some hepatitis C sufferers. Cannabis can help reduce the side effects caused by the treatment while making it more effective at the same time.
